Apply for Certification

Coating shops and applicators can apply for Certification through a 3-step process to gain Featured Applicator status. 

1. Contact Aegis staff and request access to purchase the coupon testing kit - kit includes 3 pints of paint, a pint of activator and testing coupons.
2. Once received, apply coatings to the included testing coupons and send coupons directly to the Aegis lab.
3. Coatings will be tested for quality, purity and consistency of coating to determine proficiency.

Pro Staff Kits can also include the Walcom EGO Carbino Spray Gun Kit - ideal for thin-film ceramic coatings like Aegis.

Steps to Certification:

• A purchase of a PRO STAFF kit that includes three pints of color, a pint of our activator (hardener) along with assorted test panels for you to apply our coating too.
• Prep and coat the assorted panels in your shop and return them to AEGIS.
• Once we receive them back, AEGIS will have a second party perform testing to ensure your process is sound and meets the requirements or our ASTM guidelines for adhesion, hardness, acetone rub, impact & mandrel bend tests.
  

Results of Testing

For applicators that pass all aspects of testing, you will be sent a certificate of proficiency, given access to exclusive opportunities and listed among our featured applicator recommendation list. As a bonus - free activator will be included in your future orders.

**If the coupons fail, we will send you additional coupons along with a full report analysis and recommendations to resubmit testing coupons to pass the requirements**.
